From relaxing on the soft white sands to embarking on some water-based activities, here's all you need to know about Benaulim Beach, one of the most tranquil beaches in Goa's south.

Located around 30km south of Goa's capital, Panjim, Benaulim Beach offers holidaymakers not just a wonderful haven for rest and relaxation, but also plenty of things to do in and around the area. Its long stretch of soft white sand backed by verdant palm trees is a picturesque setting for keen beach goers, but if soaking up the sunshine on a sunlounger doesn't sound like your cup of tea, here's what else you could get up to along Benaulim Beach... 

Benaulim Beach is well-known for its fishing, so as you might expect, the seafood on offer locally is super fresh. Dotted along the coastline you'll find a number of makeshift beach shacks, most of which stay open into the night, so it doesn't matter whether it's a seafood lunch or dinner that takes your fancy - but dinner under the stars is a pretty spectacular experience. 

If you consider yourself a wildlife lover, then why not take the opportunity to head out on the water and do some dolphin spotting? You can head out on boats from the beach, or alternatively book onto an excursion to go out to some of the nearby islands and swim with them.
