Baga Beach
This is termed as the most "Rocking/Happening Beach" of the entire Goa. Set amidst the lush green baga - anjuna hill, the beach is a delight. You can laze around on the beach, with the sea breeze adding to the magic miles and miles of sand, dotted with sun decks, is what this beach is all about. It is the perfect sun strip for holiday makers. From the Baga - Anjuna hill, the view of Baga beach is amazing. The Baga river flows to the north of the beach. Numerous hotels and restaurants are lined up on the beach coast. South down to Anjuna, it is just a walk away from the beach. This beach is actually an extension of the Calangute Beach and you wouldn't know where Calangute ends and Baga starts. The beach has a splendid stretch for those who love to take long walks. The picturesque view along the beach is well worth watching. A short walk up the hill will take you to the Baga Retreat House, established in 1953, and dedicated to St. Francis Xavier

How to go..
Baga is 17.3 kilometers from Panaji, the state capital via the NH 66 and Chogm Road. There are plenty of beach shacks, coffee bars, clubs, shops, street food vendors, and water sports activities to choose from. Baga beach is popular for its nightlife too.

Britto’s – A shack on the northern end of the beach. It’s a landmark of Baga. Mellow lighting and good music gives it a good ambience. The seafood and drinks menu is huge.
Cape Town Café – Located at the centre of Tito’s Lane. A famous bar and nightclub in Baga, you can try some of the best Goan curries here. You can try the burger and fries as well.
Dream Catcher – Midway between Tito’s Lane and the creek, Dream Catcher serves super cheap drinks along with the yummy food. It is right on the beach.
Go with the Flow – This is located on the other side of the Baga River, close to the Baga Retreat House. Open-air dining on the garden beside the river with neon lights all around, adds a special touch. The white-wicker furniture is very impressive. Prawn laksa and pork belly are two of its signature bites.
Relish – This multi-cuisine restaurant is located between Baga and Calangute, on a lane just opposite Barista Coffee. Pick from Indian, Chinese, and seafood. The vegan menu is good too. They even offer gluten-free options.

Arpora: Saturday Night Markets are quite popular in Arpora, a village near Baga. Ingo's Night Market is as famous in Arpora as the Flea Market is in Anjuna.
These markets are usually held on Saturdays where sellers from other states of India as well as foreigners sell clothes, trinkets, sculptures, wood carvings, other kinds of handicrafts and semiprecious stones. Good bargains can be done. The market also has a section comprising food stalls put up by people from across the world. It's an affordable and clean dining out option where one could get an authentic taste of various cuisines of the world. All kinds of wines and liquors are also sold in the open, to go with the excellent food. Cultural programmes including Indian dances and jam sessions are also held here.
